The New Year is here, which mean it’s time to make those resolutions! While many of us will be focusing on a new diet or workout regimen to get our bodies healthy, it’s also important to make sure your skin is in shape. Following a weekly facial skincare ‘workout routine’ can help refresh and recharge, keeping your skin looking and feeling it’s best. To help you out, we’ve developed a no-fuss 15-minute routine for you to follow!
Start your skincare workout by cleansing thoroughly with a healthy dose of prebiotics in our Prebiotic Facial Wash.
Why it works: Prebiotics work by feeding the skin with healthy bacteria, which encourages regeneration of skin. Washing your face daily will remove impurities that have built up as a result of pollutants, bacteria and sebum.
How to use it: Cleanse skin morning and night by applying a dime sized amount of wash to wet skin, massage gently creating a light lather, and rinse well.
The next step is to improve your balance and tone by applying the Prebiotic Facial Mist. This is an essential part of your skincare routine.
Why it works: A facial mist assists in removing any excess impurities and oils leftover after cleansing and also preps the skin for the remainder of your routine. The Prebiotic Mist contains the same powerful prebiotics as the facial wash, encouraging the pH level of skin, increasing hydration and supporting overall skin health.
How to use it: Spray the mist onto cotton ball or directly onto face. Use morning and night, avoiding eye contact.
Now that your skin is prepped and your ‘warm up’ is complete, you can move onto nourishing with Organic Anti Aging Oil Serum.
Why it works: Natural oils penetrate deep into your skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients, boosting collagen production, leaving fine lines less noticeable and skin more vibrant.
How to use it: Apply to face, neck and décolletage twice daily, avoiding eye contact.
Why it works: Exfoliating helps with removing impurities, polishing off dry skin and recharging cells. The activated charcoal in this facial polish takes it a step further, acting as a magnet clinging to any impurities, dirt and oil, revealing glowing, fresh skin.
How to use it: 1-2 times per week apply onto face using upward strokes and massaging all over your face with fingertips, and rinse off with cool water.
Now it’s time to refine those pores and even your skintone with a Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Mask. Think of this as the cool-down part of your workout.
Why it works: Just like in the facial polish, the activated charcoal works its magnetic magic to remove blackheads and dirt deep in your pores. This creamy mask is also loaded with natural extracts to help reduces excess oils, while nourishing and aiding in skin healing.
How to use it: Once a week apply to face by massaging a small amount all over and leave on for 10 minutes, and rinse well with cool water. As a sign the mask is working your skin may appear pink/red for an hour or two after use. During these 10 minutes, take time to relax and cool down!
The last step is to replenish skin’s moisture by applying a hydrating Face Crème.
Why it works: Using a daily moisturizer helps balance your skin, helping with reducing skin issues, like dryness or oiliness and blemishes. Feeding the skin the nourishment it desires will also diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
How to use it: Apply a quarter-size amount to face, neck and décolletage twice daily, avoiding eye contact. We recommend Face Crème with Botanicals in the morning; this will set your skin up for success for the day and helps your makeup apply smoother and adhere longer. Use Overnight Rehab Crème with Coconut Water at night; this is loaded with refreshing ingredients to restore cells suffering from stress, late nights and overexposure.
Just like in a workout routine, where individual exercises target different muscles and body parts, each step in a skincare workout routine helps combat a different skin issue, concern or necessity. Following these 6 steps can improve your overall skin health, look and feel. Get glowing, girl!
