Lemongrass Spa Products promotes a culture of serving  others and assists consultants throughout the year with charitable endeavors through the Lemongrass Spa Giving Back Fund. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness during October, Lemongrass Spa offered two corporate-sponsored initiatives, the Think Pink Blending Brush donation and Loving Care Gift Set giveaway, to help bring attention to the role of potentially-dangerous chemicals in personal care products.

Who doesn’t love a little splurge knowing a portion of one’s purchase goes to a noble cause? In October, Lemongrass Spa Products presented the Limited Edition Think Pink Blending Brush with a promise to donate $1 from the sale of each brush to the Breast Cancer Fund and National Breast Cancer Foundation. Providing safe and affordable skin care and mineral makeup is Lemongrass Spa’s primary objective, and the key to making smarter skincare choices is through education. Heidi Leist, Founder and CEO of Lemongrass Spa, chose to donate proceeds from the sale of the Think Pink Blending Brush to the Breast Cancer Fund and National Breast Cancer Foundation because these two organizations are passionate about educating the public about the dangers of toxic chemicals. In November, Heidi wrote each organization a check for $500 thanks to Lemongrass Spa’s loyal customers.

The Think Pink Blending Brushes were a hit! If you purchased a Blending Brush, please click here to discover how to contour or blend your minerals with this cruelty-free, eco-friendly makeup brush.

Customers often seek out products that Lemongrass Spa offers after they’ve witnessed the devastating effects of cancer treatment. These women and men look to limit exposure to ingredients suspected to contribute to the body’s cancer development. During the month of October, Lemongrass Spa sought to provide fifty women undergoing cancer treatment with a little relief by sending them a Loving Care Gift Set for dry and damaged skin. Suggested by Samantha Meyer, a consultant in Oklahoma, after witnessing “first-hand how incredibly hard these kinds of treatments are on the body, and how important the integrity of the skin can be when the immune system is so completely compromised," this trio of healing products includes Healing Elements Balm, Organic Nail Balm and a jar of Ultra Hydrating Body Crème.

Nominations for women, men and children poured in from friends and family wanting to acknowledge their loved ones’ strength and courage through their cancer journey. Each story exemplified a brave individual’s story and exceptional fight while highlighting the unending support from loved ones. Rebecca, nominating her friend Jeanette, exclaimed “She has served our country as a Marine and continues to serve as a Marine Spouse all while fighting cancer TWICE now!” Cherie, who nominated a grandmother in Michigan, said “Even though the treatments are tough at times, she is always glowing.”

In all, Lemongrass Spa Products sent fifty-four healing Loving Care Gift Sets to these courageous people. Inspired by this initiative, consultants across the country purchased Loving Care Gift Sets to donate to local hospitals as well as give as gifts to people they know going through cancer treatment. Kimberly from Amarillo, TX, said “Thank you all so much for doing this! It is a real blessing to everyone!”

Karen, a consultant from Canandaigua, NY sums up why Lemongrass Spa sponsored the Think Pink and Loving Care Gift Set initiatives: “We can't cure the cancer, but we can help bring some comfort and smiles.” Let us know in the comments some of the ways you have brought ‘comfort and smiles’ to those you love who have traveled a difficult journey.
