….And the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows – Audrey Hepburn
Tweeze away any strays and clean up your eyebrow shape. A defined brow and clean brow bone opens and lifts the eye.
Exfoliate Dry dead skin can hang on to makeup, causing skin to appear dull and patchy.
Cleanse Gently cleanse your face with your choice of cleansing gel or bar soap and pat dry with a soft towel. Apply your facial mist as well.
Moisturize Apply your face crème and let soak into the skin for a few minutes while you enjoy a cup of herbal tea. Add a couple of drops of Frankincense Essential Oil for added anti aging properties.
Age Defying Makeup
Conceal Cover any blemishes or discolored spots with Concealing Stick: Green for red discolorations, Pink Lighten Up for under eye and Neutral for blemishes or age spots. Use your ring finger or Blending Sponge in a light dotting motion. Apply sparingly - a little goes a long way.
Foundation Now that you have a fresh clean primed palette, apply your minerals, BB Crème or a combination of both for more intense coverage. You will get the best coverage from a brush or sponge. Allow the foundation to warm to your skin before moving onto the next step.
Contouring and Highlighting Dewy looking skin is the key to a youthful appearance. If your face appears too matte or dry it can add years to your look. Apply a little glow on the middle of your forehead, the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, your cupid’s bow and chin with the new Strobe Stick. This will lighten and highlight these areas of the face. To slenderize your face and create a more define look, contour your jaw line, below your cheekbones and just above your temples with new Contour Powder. Blend upwards.
Eyes Matte eye shadows are best for a mature eyelid; try Matte Mocha, Ballerina Pink, Suede or Plum. Save the sparkle for the brow bone. As we age, the eyelid can droop; glitter and sparkle have a tendency to collect in the creases and accentuate the lines. A little sparkle on the brow bone opens the eye. Line as you normally would and apply 2 coats of Organic Matte Mascara.
Blush Apply mineral blush to the apples of your cheeks. When combined with the glow on the top of your cheekbones and the contour beneath your cheekbones, they will appear more round and youthful. If you want a sun-kissed look, lightly dust the prominent features of your face with bronzer.
Finally, a matte, crème or satin lipstick is best for mature lips. As we age our lips lose their fullness and develop fine lines. Glittery lipstick will also collect in and accentuate fine lines. If you like a little shine, add a coat of clear Stardust Organic Lip Gloss for a great light catching, plumped up appearance.
