Hello Natural Beauties!

I hope you are as excited about our new Sheer Minerals product as I am! I couldn’t ‘BB’ happier to expand our already amazing line with the cleanest BB crème I have seen on the market today. If you are looking for a way to simplify your routine in the morning, our BB crème is for you. It is a one-step smoothing primer, sun protectant, anti-aging serum and tinted moisturizer in one easy pump. It is your skin care regime and make-up in a 1 oz. container. Brilliant!

The first thing you will notice immediately after your first application is how dewy your skin looks. If you have struggled with the mineral makeup settling in fine lines, you will LOVE this product. I have sampled natural and not so natural BB crèmes in the past and found many of them to be sticky or watery and I am so happy to report that ours is truly the best-feeling product I have ever tried.

If you are new to BB Crème, you may have a few questions. Such as:

What is BB Crème?

BB stands for Beauty Balm. It originated from Japan as an all-in-one type product. Companies have since come out with CC (Color Correcting) and even DD (Daily Defense) crèmes. We feel like the Lemongrass BB Crème encompasses all of those properties. It is not so much a traditional liquid foundation as it is a tinted moisturizer. You can achieve a light coverage and even out your skin tone, but it will not be quite the coverage you get with your Sheer Mineral powders. You can absolutely use them in concert to achieve more coverage or if you desire a matte look. You can also use your concealing stick for any blemishes or dark circles prior to application just as you do with your minerals. Even if you don't normally wear foundation but desire smoother younger looking skin, this product is for you.

What Shade Do I Wear?

You will find that unlike a foundation, there is a lot more freedom in color matching. It’s not streaky and it is very tone adapting due to how sheer it is when applied. If you are a Sheer Minerals powdered foundation user and want to know the best BB Crème shade to use with, or in lieu of, your current Sheer Minerals powder shade, you can use the following guide to help you choose:

*Oatmeal Light and Cream Light – order Light BB Crème if you prefer a lightening effect or Medium if you prefer to blend or darken your skin tone

*Sand Medium and Golden Medium – order Medium if you prefer a lighter shade of medium or Tan if you prefer to blend with skin tone or enhance your shade

*Sunlight Tan  - order Tan BB Crème

*Rose Tan – order Deep BB Crème

*Café Deep and Rose Deep – order Deep BB Crème

*Cinnamon Dark and Siena Dark – order Dark BB Crème

Besides being the cleanest and smoothest BB Crème I have used, Lemongrass Spa’s BB Crème has some remarkable attributes, such as a naturally occurring SPF15 due to the non-nanoparticle titanium dioxide and zinc oxide used for color, as well as some amazing ingredients, namely peptides. You may have heard this term used in commercials for expensive and high-end anti-aging skin care products.

What is a Peptide?

The Science:

Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 are both peptides added to our Sheer Minerals BB Crème and are known for their anti-aging and skin repairing properties.

Purpose:

Peptides are anti-wrinkle, anti-aging, repairing, wrinkle smoothing ingredients that improve skin tone and elasticity.

How they work:

The lower layer of the skin (dermis) is knit together with protein fibers made up of collagen and elastin. As we age, we produce less collagen and the skin is damaged and degraded by UV rays, pollution and other elements. The long chain amino acids in the skin are called collagen proteins. When the proteins degrade, the short protein pieces that are generated are called peptides. The degraded collagen protein fragments (peptides) stimulate the synthesis of new collagen. The amino acids and fatty acids within the peptides ingredients in Sheer Minerals BB Crème allow the peptides to penetrate the skin and resemble the collagen protein fragments, thus producing more collagen and resulting in smoother, younger looking skin….You had me at anti-aging!

So, to BB, or not to BB? For me, there is no question!

If you have any questions, comments or testimonials about the NEW Anti-Aging Sheer Minerals BB Crème, please post them below in our comments section. We would love to hear from you!

Happy Spring!

Shelley Davis

I can't wait to try the new BB Creme! This is going to be perfect for me. I plan to use it daily and just add the mineral powder for days that I want a more pulled together look!

I got to be one of the testers before the BB Creme was released, and I LOVE it!! It's hydrating without being greasy and evens out my skin tone. Great addition to the Sheer Minerals makeup!

I am new to the BB cream, I have been using it for 4 days now. My skin is always very clear, and I never have a problem with breakouts. However, in the 4 days of using this product I have three pimples on my face. Why would this be happening if it is all natural product?

    Thank you!

    Hello Bec,
There can be a transition period whenever you begin any new skin care or cosmetic product, whether natural or not. Your skin may take a little time to adjust. If you find that the BB Creme is a little too oily for your skin type, you can always mix it with a little of our mineral foundation powder. This combination gives amazing coverage and a nice airbrushed effect.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

    Thanks,

    Shelley
