Don’t Sweat It…We’ve Got You Covered!

I don’t know about you, but having underarm odor is one of the most embarrassing things for a girl or a guy. Having to avoid someone with bad body odor is hard to cover up. As a teenager or as an adult, this awkward situation is something that can be avoided with the right combination of products.

Did you know that sweat is actually odorless inside the body?

When perspiration is exposed to the atmosphere chemical changes happen. Bacteria on the surface processes the perspiration, causing odor. On average people have 3 to 4 million sweat glands! It’s no wonder Americans are obsessed with great smelling sprays, perfumes, deodorants and antiperspirants!

There are two sweat glands, the eccrine and apocrine. Things like exercise, stress, eating spicy food, hormones, diseases, taking strong medication, running a fever, gastro problems and prolonged infections cause these glands to work overtime to cool off our bodies.

To reduce odor, bacteria on the skin should either be eliminated or out run by good bacteria to create a friendly, less odiferous environment. Good hygiene can go a long way in reducing odor as well as avoiding caffeine, spicy foods and even red meat.

Deodorants help to avoid odor by creating an acidic environment so bacteria is kept at bay.

Antiperspirants, on the other hand, work by blocking the sweat glands and thereby resulting in less perspiration. However, excessive use of deodorants and antiperspirants with questionable ingredients should be avoided as these have been linked to breast cancer or prostate cancer, and a multitude contain parabens and aluminum chloride linked to health problems. Many Americans are becoming more aware of the health hazards of the toxic antiperspirants and deodorants flooding the market and are looking for healthier alternatives.

Lemongrass Spa Products just introduced an all-new Natural Deodorant Spray and Natural Deodorant Paste. The Deodorant Spray is specially formulated with witch hazel and can be used alone or before applying Natural Deodorant Paste. Carry in a gym bag after a workout or in your purse for a quick pick-me-up at the office.

A dime-size amount of Natural Deodorant Paste can be applied with the cosmetic spatula (included) to your underarms after showering or applying the spray. Arrowroot powder and baking soda keep skin dry while the softening power of organic shea butter, coconut oil and cocoa butter help soothe. Our proprietary blend of certified organic essential oils work in tandem with the baking soda to curb bacteria and annoying odor.

Both the spray and paste feature four blends to suit everyone in the family and you’ll find they are very effective all day long!

Sport Blend is an earthy essential oil blend of certified organic essential oils. Light notes of clove, juniper and lemon are present but not overpowering. Cypress, Lemongrass, Grapefruit, Frankincense, Myrhh and Clove Bud help keep men and women smelling their best.

Unscented contains a hint of Tea Tree for antibacterial properties and extra freshness

Lavender Vanilla features our mellow Lavender and Vanilla essential oil duo.

Lemongrass has certified organic Lemon and Lemongrass Essential oils which are excellent for keeping odor away.

Natural Deodorant Tips

Allow your body to ‘detox’ a few days by discontinuing the use of ANY deodorant before starting a new one. Paste goes on clear with a slightly powdery finish. Use caution with silk clothing; paste and spray will completely wash out of cottons and most synthetics. Apply gently onto skin and discontinue use if reaction occurs; some may experience slight discomfort if using a baking soda product for the first time. Be patient when making the switch from antiperspirant to deodorant. It’s worth it once you’ve made the choice to use all natural. We’re excited to hear your feedback after trying these effective new formulas!

I have tried every deodorant out there. Within a couple hours I had to reapply because I smelled. It is a little harder to put in than a stick or roll in but totally worth it. I also follow the paste with the deodorant spray. This deodorant I can wear all day and not have a problem AT ALL!! You have a new forever client!
